Burglar killed after being caught trying to break into a home.

Overstretched?: Police forces are being pushed ever more, says Michael Nicholson.

In Greater Manchester a burglar was killed after trying to break into someones home. The burglar was spotted by the residents as he attempted to break into their house and the burglar got stabbed to death by the homeowners. There are three people arrested that presumably were the ones resposible for the death of the 26 year old man that was caught trying to break into a home. The police has sealed of the perimeter around the alleged self defense casualty and the investigation regarding the death of the burglar is still on going.

Eventhough I think it's good that there's one less badguy out there, I still dont think it's justified killing a person for attempting to break into a house. I think it's great that they stopped the burglar, but killing the burglar seems a bit over the top to me since so far there is no evidence that the burglar had any kind of weapon on him, and since there were three people that were responsible for the death of this man there is reason to believe that they would have had enough force to restrain him and hold him pinned to the ground until the police would arrive.

  1. i dont fully agree with you! yes they were with three persons there to hold him but what if he did had a gun or a knife? those are the things you have to consider.. what if those three people didn't do anything and the burglar had a gun and just shut them because he was scared.. some things you have to keep in mind because in that moment you never know what you're able to!

  2. Aye definitly! But I believe I did say that there was no evidence of him having any kind of gun! I mean if he had ofc, kick the living shit out of him, but if he doesnt was that much force really neccesary? :)
