The childcare costs have been rising tremendeously the last couple years, the fees are now up to 40 pounds a month in some areas. Parent that have children under the age of five seem to be hit the hardest as they have to pay twenty-four pounds a month more than they had a year ago.
There are still ways of coping with this increase as children between the age of 3 and 4 in England are eligible for a free, part-time early education place with a registered childcare provider there are no costs if the children are there for only 15 hours a week or less.
Currently 1.5 million families are paying for the childcare system
I think it's nice that these children have a place to go when their parents are busy working the entire day, yet I do think it's also good that they increased the prices as raising a child should be the job of the parents. Currently this seems to be the job of the people at the daycare as 1.5 million families are currently using this childcare system rather then taking a day off, or having 1 parent stay at home and look after the child. In my opinion, the childcare system should be only for those parents that reallu have no other choice, but those that have a choice should just stay at home and look after their child, that is if they care.

I completely disagree with you. Yes, raising a child should be done by the parents. But don't forget; they already pay for daycares to take their child and taking a day off will not raise the child that much or solve the expensive daycare problems. To make it even more expensive now, seems unethical to me, as lifecosts increase and parents need money more than ever and so, need to both work fulltime. It's not a way to encourage parents to raise say goodbye to half of their income and stay at home, although it might become too costly to keep working considering this increase of costs.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIf parents realy need daycare, they would especially not be able to pay for the increased costs of it. It will soon only become affordable for the rich people who don't have to work at all and take time off from raising their children as well... If costs keep rising like this.
My point of view is, that if the price would be any lower there would be more people thinking hmm.. maybe I can just send my kid to daycare so I have less to worry about?, and that's exactly what I do not want see happening. I understand that the less fortunate will have to pay more aswell, with 2 parents working though I really dont see the problem regarding income, 1 parent should stay home and take of the kids. You know when you get children there are some responsibilities attached to that, taking care of your children is one of them. The child should get top priority, and work second.

BeantwoordenVerwijderendaycare is not there to raise your child though! and i think that everyone should be able to bring their child to daycare. in this economics it is necessary to work as you have to pay for all your bills including food for your child! there are a lot of costs involved with raising a child. daycare is just for in the day because parents need to work! you cannot always choose between one or another! its not that simple! and i really think that paying more for daycare will really influence the people that need daycare the most!lower and middle class people! and its not that those parents think that work is more a priority, i really think that most parents want to stay at home with their children.. its just not an option
